C.V.N.E reinforce its commitment to sustainability and joins the organization International Wineries for Climate Action (IWCA<\/a>), as an Applicant Member, with all the wineries of the group.<\/p>\n

The aim of IWCA is to achieve net <\/u>zero<\/u> emissions<\/u> by<\/u> 2050, <\/u>guaranteeing constant emission reductions in line with the intermediate objectives in 2030, aligned with the United Nations to Zero Campaign.<\/p>\n

It is the most internationally recognized organization in the wine sector, in which strategies to reduce emissions are shared and methodologies are developed for their measurement. They include vineyards in the calculation of emissions.<\/p>\n

We are proud to join dozens of wineries from all over the world that work towards a more sustainable future for the wine sector.<\/p>\n

According to our Sustainability Plan 2020-2025, we have implemented the following measures:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Carbon Footprint Calculation<\/strong>. <\/b>We are currently verifying the organization’s Carbon Footprint (CVNE winery at Haro and Vi\u00f1a Real), including the field part, as well as Footprint calculations for the rest of the group’s wineries.<\/li>\n
  2. Photovoltaic<\/b> self-consumption<\/b>. <\/strong>Project of photovoltaic panels, for the production of self-generated renewable energy. We have the following installed power;\n
      \n
    • CVNE at Haro 260 kw<\/li>\n
    • Vi\u00f1a Real 200 kw<\/li>\n
    • Bela 60 kw<\/li>\n
    • Virgen del Galir 50 kw<\/li>\n
    • Contino 40 kw<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • Circular <\/b>Economy<\/b>.<\/strong> Circular economy project, with the installation of biomass boilers for the use of vineyard pruning remains as fuel, in CVNE and Vi\u00f1a Real.<\/li>\n
    • Water<\/b> reduction<\/b>. <\/strong><\/strong>Water use reduction plans, planned to reduce 20% by 2025 per bottle produced.<\/li>\n
    • Sustainable Packaging. <\/strong>Continue with the use of Sustainable Packaging, through the use of bottles with reduced glass and recycled cardboard.<\/li>\n
    • Renewable<\/b> Electric Energy<\/b>. <\/strong>Electricity consumption from 100% renewable resources.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
