CVNE upgrades its Haro winery with support from the European FEADER programme

17 Nov 2025

In 2020, CVNE undertook a major modernisation project at its Haro winery aimed at improving the efficiency, sustainability, and quality of its processes. This initiative was made possible thanks to support from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (FEADER), as part of the EU’s commitment to innovation in the wine sector.

Key improvements included the optimisation of humidity control in bottling facilities and underground cellars, as well as climate control installations in the latter. Upgrades were also carried out in the “El Pilar” area, with the addition of new cooling systems and updated electrical infrastructure.

On the technology front, an infrared autoanalyser was installed, and the bottling lines were enhanced with the incorporation of a capsule inserter and an accumulation table. Logistics were also improved with the acquisition of a new forklift truck.

With this investment, CVNE strengthens its position as a benchmark for innovation and technical excellence in Rioja, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to quality and sustainability.
