Asúa

Asúa was born out of a desire to capture the essence of Haros’ historic wines. Haro was the birthplace of modern Rioja in the 19th Century, and is home to some of the most important historic wineries not only in Rioja but in all of Spain. The Asúa project pays tribute to the founders of C.V.N.E., the Real de Asúa brothers.

With the Asúa project, we wanted to go one step further, with a careful selection of grapes from our vineyards in Haro, and carrying out a careful aging of the wines in the best oak barrels.

We are searching for an authentic expression of the terroir of Haro, through the prism of our historic C.V.N.E. winery, its traditions, its people and our family.

The Asúa wines are made exclusively with grapes from Haro, where the soils are clay-calcareous and clay-ferrous, a continental climate with a marked Atlantic influence and vineyards located over 500 meters above sea level.
