Cune Ribera del Duero

The grapes for our Cune Ribera are harvested from our vineyards situated 800 m above sea level on clayey and calcareous soils in the town of Villalba de Duero, Burgos.

The climate is continental, with severe winters and warm summers with cold nights.

The grapes ferment in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, and the wine is aged for 5 months in American and French oak barrels.

Cune Ribera is a cherry red wine with intense red fruit aromas and a good balance, with the spicy nuances brought by its ageing in the barrel.

“The first wine produced by the company took its name from the initials CVNE. A fortuitous misspelling between the U and the V created the iconic Cune brand”
Cune Blanco Reserva DESCUBRE MÁS Cune Blanco Reserva Cune Blanco Reserva “CVNE was historically known as a red wine producer. However, it also makes whites. In the 1950s and 1960s, CVNE produced unfortified dry white wine, which was aged in the barrel, in its Haro winery. The quality of these wines was excellent. However, they were not known, they were not exported, they were not advertised, and they were forgotten. We believe that the current owners of CVNE have a duty to rescue and promote these wines. Therefore, this is the origin of Cune Blanco Reserva, with its first vintage in 2018”
