CVNE has been producing Monopole in Haro since the beginning of the 20th century. The name was registered in 1915. This is the white wine with the oldest registered name in Spain. Made from Rioja Alta grapes, it is characterised by its consistent quality and clean and precise aroma. Classic, young Rioja.
Monopole Rioja is a white wine made from Viura grapes harvested from our own vineyards and vineyards owned by our usual Rioja Alta suppliers. The main grape variety is Viura frown on head-trained vines in fresh, clay soils. All work is carried out by hand, including the grape harvest.
On arrival at the winery, the grapes macerated with their skins for 8 hours at a temperature of 10-12ºC.
The grapes then pass by gravity through a small pneumatic press, producing the flower must. We then carry out a static clarification (debourbage) without any mechanical influence. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures to extract and preserve the distinctive, fruity and floral primary aromas of the variety.
